
Percussionist Joby Burgess, made the third of his four visits to school last Tuesday 9th March. Joby is working with Y5 & 6 pupils on an extended percussion project which will culminate in a concert for parents and friends on May 4th.
Joby leads many workshops focusing on rhythm, composition and improvisation, often using West African music as the stimulus. He is Head of Percussion at Junior Trinity College of Music, Greenwich. He is also involved in numerous education events, for organisations such as Dartington International Summer School and Goldsmiths College.
