On Sunday 27th June, at Gainfield Farm, the 2nd Manor Equestrian Combined Training competition took place. Each child had to perform a dressage test and then complete a course of show jumps. We had 67 entries, from 8 different schools, competing as individuals or as part of a team: some children competing for the very first time, some seasoned and experienced competition riders. Despite the heat (it was a scorching day!!), children and ponies performed and behaved impeccably. Despite stiff competition this year, The Manor children retained ‘The Manor Equestrian Cup’ and there are now several ponies that are ‘adorned’ with some very smart green and pink Manor rosettes! A great day was had by all. Many thanks to all those who assisted on the day (and it was a very long day!!), especially to Virginia Spracklen who organised the whole event.
