Year 3:
The 3 points separating the four houses in the Year 3 House rounders demonstrates the competitive nature in which the matches were played. The overall winners this year were Cherwell with 12 points and a total of 19.5 rounders. Cherwell were closely followed by Isis and Thames who could only be separated by rounders scored. Windrush finished in fourth place yet only by a single point. All the girls played with energy and enthusiasm, showcasing the skills they have learnt in training this term. The competition was keenly supported by fellow house members and parents a like. Much cheering could be heard and house banners were out in force!
Year 4:
Year 4 House rounders also proved to be a tight and exhilarating competition. Cherwell and Thames scored 8 points whilst Isis and Windrush finished on 12 points. Windrush, however, came away with first place scoring more rounders than Isis during the course of the afternoon. Some cracking rounders were scored by many girls and commitment was displayed in the field. Overall it was evident that the girls thoroughly enjoy rounders and that much improvement has been made in the sport this term. Thanks must go to Mr.Butler who
organised both the Year 3 and 4 House matches superbly.
