What a way to end the Rounders season! As the huge crowd roared on the year 6 teams, the staff knew they were in for a challenging afternoon! The game would consist of 3 innings and the staff would take on each of the Year 6 classes. First up were 6J, but unfortunately, they found the staff in ruthless form and succumbed to a 6-1½ defeat. The Rounder of the match came from Mr Heyworth whose huge hit ended up in the bushes! 6L were next and were narrowly defeated 5-3 before 6KW produced a remarkable 5-4½ victory against a team which had previously looked unbeatable!
The final result was 15½-9½ in favour of the staff which was a fantastic effort by the Year 6 team. There was a carnival atmosphere and a fantastic spirit surrounding the afternoon which is so typical of The Manor.
