The Able Child programme seeks to enrich those children who are particularly able academically. In addition to enrichment and extension material provided by class teachers within their planned lessons, there is a separate course designed to develop the higher order thinking skills of analysis, evaluation and synthesis. The Thinking Skills course brings together the most able children across each year group in KS2 once a month to enable these children to stimulate one another and to pursue exciting and challenging learning opportunities beyond the normal curriculum.
