The children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed an action packed day in the sunshine when we were joined by Chris from The Den Experience.
The children were split into small teams of mixed ages and tasked with building a den out of canes, tubing and sheets – and what a variety of shapes and sizes we had! Throughout the day the children displayed collaborative teamwork, practical engineering skills and creativity, all whilst outside in the fresh air.
At the end of the session the children built some structures from materials donated by parents (thank you!) which were kept on the field for parents to see.
