The Living Rainforest

The theme of this Year 4 visit was Amazing Adaptations and the guides did an excellent job in focusing on how plants and animals adapt to living in a rainforest environment. The children were fascinated and listened really well and asked some excellent questions.  They came away with a wealth of information and a renewed determination that The Manor does anything possible to support projects which aim to protect the rainforests.

As always, the children took a particular interest in the more sensational facts including that a poison arrow frog can kill up to 150 adult humans and that you can suffocate if you eat the stem of the dumb cane plant!  We all had a splendid time.
