Leavers' Destinations

Our children move on to a wide range of day and boarding senior schools, for girls, and day and boarding prep schools for boys which includes other independent schools in Abingdon.   The Manor prides itself on providing clear advice to parents on the choice of schools which may best suit their children and regular meetings are arranged for this purpose.  The Headmaster, Piers Heyworth, visits all the schools to which our children move so that the School’s advice to parents is given using current knowledge.   

Girls

Cheam School (Newbury), Cheltenham Ladies College, Cokethorpe School (Witney), *Didcot Girls’ School, Repton School (Derbyshire), Heathfield St Mary’s School (Ascot), Kilgraston School (Perthshire), Millfield (Somerset), Pangbourne College (Pangbourne), Queen Anne’s School, Caversham (Reading), Rye St Anthony School (Oxford), *St Bartholomew’s School (Newbury), St Gabriel’s (Newbury), St Hugh’s (Carswell), St Mary’s School, Ascot, St Mary’s School, Calne, St Swithun’s (Winchester), The Abbey School (Reading), Truro High School for Girls, Tudor Hall School (Banbury), Wychwood School (Oxford) and Wycombe Abbey School (High Wycombe).

In 2007, 100% of our Year 6 girls received offers from their first choice of senior school with 10 scholarships/exhibitions being offered.

Boys 

The majority of our boys move to Abingdon Preparatory School.   Other schools to which our boys have successfully moved include Ashfold School (Aylesbury), Chandlings Manor School (Oxford), Christ Church Cathedral School (Oxford), Dragon School (Oxford), Elstree School (Elstree), Ludgrove Preparatory School (Berkshire), Magdalen College School (Oxford), New College School (Oxford), The Oratory Preparatory School (Goring Heath), St Hugh’s (Carswell).
