Malvern College held their 25th annual National Prep School Cross Country Championships on Sunday 12th March, their grounds were brilliant and the weather was perfect for such a fantastic event.

We arrived very promptly at 10am to enable us to put on our vests, numbers and chip timers before we took a brisk walk around the course. Taking in the scenery, we talked tactics to prepare the girls for the big race ahead. After a pre-race snack and a thorough warm up we were called to our pens. As 296 participants took to their starting positions, all the children needed to remain calm and keep their heart rate up in a long wait until the starting horn.

Issy I had a tremendous run, coming in first for The Manor in 15th place; followed closely by Emily B, Phoenix V, Erin F, Evey P and Juliette G. This great team effort concluded with us coming 2nd out of 63 schools, the best results The Manor has ever seen!

Well done girls!
