Our Wonderful World

1st November 2016

There was great excitement in the School Hall on Monday morning as the winners of the Geography Photo Competition ‘Our Wonderful World’ were announced.

Sixty two children entered the competition and there were over 150 photographs to judge. Entries came from as far afield as New Zealand and Whistler in Canada and the final decision on winners was incredibly difficult as so many of the photos were stunning;  a huge thank you and well done to all those children who entered.

There were merits for all entries and prizes for the runners up and winners in each year. The overall winners were as follows:

Year 3 – Grace M for a wonderful picture showing a cave at Port Isaac in Cornwall.
Year 4- Nancy B with a stunning photograph of the French Alps.
Year 5 – Madeleine J with an impressive photograph showing a meandering river.
Year 6 – Heather W with a breathtaking image of a glaciated scarp face in the Brecon Beacons.
