PE - Physical Education

The PE Department has four specialist PE teachers, who are passionate about and dedicated to sport. In addition to our full-time PE staff, we employ specialist sports coaches to run our clubs for Swimming, Netball, Tennis, Golf, Gymnastics, Ballet, Dance and Table Tennis. Sporting life at The Manor balances a commitment to physical health and fitness for all through a diverse and challenging PE programme. Our curriculum lessons include Netball, Hockey, Swimming, Water Polo, Football, Tag-Rugby, Outdoor & Adventurous Activities, Gymnastics, Dance and Fitness. To complement the curriculum, sports clubs are run from Reception to Year 6 before school, at lunchtimes and after school. Lunchtime clubs are non-selective and open to children of all abilities.

We have Inter-House fixtures for Years 1 to 6 covering ten sports. In addition, the fixture list for Year 3 – 6 is extensive and offers competitive opportunities for children of all abilities. We have an enviable record of success in matches and tournaments competing in County, Regional and National competitions for Netball, Hockey, Cross-Country, Swimming, Tennis and Biathlon.
