Super Science and Interesting India

25th January 2016

Science lesson

Year 2 have made a vibrant start to our Indian topic this term, linked to some fantastic Science learning.

This term began with Indian food tasting, encouraging the children to try many different foods including fruits – mango, papaya and guava, pilau rice, chapatti and dhal – yummy!

This week we have discussed the importance of healthy eating, learning about where food comes from and the names of different food groups.   We also put on our dancing shoes, as healthy bodies and minds were active with a Bollywood inspired dance session!  Mrs Murdoch kindly led us in some super moves creating an Indian dance routine helping us to learn that exercising is an important part of a healthy lifestyle.

Super Science!
