Year 5 and Year 6

Mrs Victoria Evans oversees life at the top of the school as Head of Years 5 and 6.  She co-ordinates the pastoral care of the school along with Mr Neil Jackson, ensuring that each and every pupil is cherished.  As girls reach this important stage in their schooling, great care is taken to give the girls an opportunity to work hard and achieve well, as well as retain a broad variety of interests and extra-curricular activities.

In Years 5 and 6 the girls have a Form Teacher whom they see regularly each day; twice for registration, PSHEE lessons and some all-important form time at the end of the day.  This session is designed for girls to return to their base to share daily experiences and receive reminders for the following day.

At The Manor we use the National Curriculum as a guide, taking the very best parts of it and adding our own sections to provide a broad and challenging curriculum for our children. As part of this, we prepare the Year 6 girls thoroughly for their senior school exams which take place in the Autumn and Spring terms of their last year. After this, we have a full and exciting post-exam curriculum.
