Early Years

Early Years at The Manor welcomes children the term after their second birthday into the Pre-Nursery for any number of sessions to suit work/home commitments.  Children begin visits to the Nursery when they become a “rising three”, in order to prepare them for the next stage in their education.  The September after their third birthday, boys and girls enter the Nursery, increasing their sessions to 5 (three of which should be mornings) to allow for all that is on offer.  PE lessons, Music lessons and a weekly trip to the library are an integral part of the Pre-Nursery and Nursery week.  After one school year in the Nursery, children are ready and prepared to continue their learning journey into the School.

Early Years education continues into Reception the September after your child turns four.  Reception houses two well balanced classes, made up from children moving up from The Manor’s Nursery and new children joining The Manor for their first year of formal school.
