Our People

The ethos of The Manor is based on a core of values shared by the governors and staff and clearly communicated to the children through teaching, discussion and example.

These values are our guiding principles in setting the aims and objectives of our community and in evaluating our performance. These values foster high standards of behaviour and achievement, support a framework of respect, promote self confidence and provide a warm, harmonious environment for our staff to work and in which our children learn and thrive.

Our parents and other family members are an essential part of The Manor community and are warmly welcomed at every opportunity whether to discuss a child’s progress with any member of staff or to attend the many assemblies, plays, concerts and sporting events in which the children are involved.   And, there’s even a special grandparents’ afternoon!

We value partnership between home and school; this trust between The Manor and its families has been a special quality of the school for decades. All staff welcome this co-operation for the benefit of the children. There are regular Parents’ Evenings and every child receives a very full and helpful written report twice a year.

Parents are automatically a member of The Friends of The Manor which organises social events and raises funds both for the School and for other charities.
