Geography is taught from the Foundation Stage through to Year 6. We do so in a variety of ways – using stories and the immediate environment with younger children, whilst our older children compare and contrast their local area with localities overseas.
We aim to encourage an interest in our world by providing practical and relevant activities which develop skills and understanding. We foster an investigative and analytical approach. The children have the chance for “hands on” learning, regularly undertaking field trips at home, visiting the Isle of Wight in Year 5 and Normandy in Year 6.
