Last Sunday, as the drizzle dried up and the sun started to break through, right on cue, the 4th annual Manor golf day began. Six teams of 4, all linked to The Manor’s community, set off on the blue course at Frilford Golf Course. The afternoon ended with enough sunshine to enjoy drinks and light refreshments on the terrace and the Headmaster awarded prizes for a variety of skills from “longest drive” (won by Mr Delisle-Cheverton) to “nearest the pin in two shots” (won by Deputy Head, Mrs Stokes with an impressive 6 feet away from the pin!) The winning team of Mr Vacher, Mr McGuckin, Mr Evans and Mrs Haycock, took home The Manor trophy and champagne, with Mr McGuckin also gaining the title of individual winner and Mrs Haycock as individual runner-up. Many family members joined us on the terrace after the golf to share a celebratory drink with the competitors and a wonderful day was had by all.
