Year 1 Satellite Lesson

24th November 2017

Year 1 have been continuing their learning on a very exciting topic of ‘Space’ this term and had a visit from Chris and Trev from the Satellite Applications Catapult. They came into school and talked all about satellites and why we have them, and what they do.
We each made our own satellite and a volcano, then we learnt how satellites can take photographs of the inside of volcanoes, which helps us to know if they are likely to erupt any time soon!
We had a wonderful morning and we certainly knew a lot more about satellites by lunch time – including the teachers!
