Year 5 at the River Pang

5th October 2016

Year 5 enjoyed a stunning day at the River Pang and Rushell Farm on Monday.

See the photos here.

The sun was shining, the river was flowing and the fish were biting – as Mrs Forbes and others found out when they caught some Stickleback and even a trout in their nets!

We all enjoyed wading in the river to measure its depth and flow rate which the girls did sensibly. The ride on the tractor was greatly appreciated even with a few renditions of ‘one more step along the world we go’ by the girls as we happily bounced through the village of Bradfield!

The pond dip and net sweep in the fields unearthed a couple of frogs and a newt who were eagerly observed and then safely returned to their quiet habitats.

It was a beautiful day and I received a happy email from the staff at the end of the day which read: ‘I know Pam and the rest of the team had a lovely time and really enjoyed the enthusiasm of the girls.’ Well done Year 5.
