Manor Association of Parents

The Manor Association of Parents (MAP) provides a parents’ network which forms an integral part of the school.

The primary aim of the association, run by a committee of six working closely with the school, is to encourage a strong sense of community by organising a range of social events, for both parents and children, throughout the school year.

The secondary aim is to raise funds so we can invest in luxury items for the children that couldn’t ordinarily be justified.

The MAP committee meets regularly to discuss fundraising ideas, events and spending plans and broader meetings, to which all parents are invited, take place once a term.

Classlist

Regular communication between parents is important in helping us build a supportive and welcoming school community. The Manor utilises a purpose-built app called Classlist. Classlist enables parents to find and contact each other securely, whilst giving each parent complete control over what data is shared.

Aside from being an online address book, Classlist can be used to set up events, form special interest groups, discuss arrangements for parties or lift shares or even to find a new home for old bicycles or toys!

Parent Volunteers

If you have any questions, or would like to get in touch about joining the MAP committee or assisting with specific projects, please email our Director of Marketing, Nicole Burroughs; as well as raising funds, it is a great way to get to know other parents across the school. Equally, if you have any thoughts about the events we run and what funds are spent on, please do share your suggestions.
