Year 2 had a wonderful day at the Earth Trust, taking part in their exciting Sustainability Day. We were the very first school to visit the brand-new Edible Classroom, where we tasted fresh rocket, lettuce, pak choi and coriander straight from the raised beds – delicious! We went on a food waste treasure hunt, learned all about food miles in the cosy tepee, and explored ways to save water and protect our planet. Everyone enjoyed the reduce, reuse, recycle challenge, and we each made one special pledge to help look after the Earth. The weather was beautiful, with the sunshine peeking through all day – the perfect end to a fantastic, eco-friendly adventure!
