The Manor holds a space like no other school, providing an Ordinarily Extraordinary school community. What takes place at the school, day in, day out – ordinarily – is quite extraordinary. Our Manor Family, including pupils, staff, families, governors, and alumni, has a deep interest in providing the very best start for each and every child. This isn’t a school where the focus is on the superfluous or superficial but where the attention, passion and resource is all directed to what is in the best interests of the children. There is no hierarchy but a group of like-minded individuals who have a shared love for the school, what it stands for and the experience it provides.

The journey of each child doesn’t end with us, in fact it is just the start, and our priority is always about ensuring the very best for our pupils to build a strong foundation for life. The individuality we have as a thriving, co-educational prep school enables us to work directly with families to help craft and steer the educational phases for each and every child. This leads to us being proudly independent in our ability to prepare children and help them secure places at their first choice senior schools, feeding a significant number of different settings, enabling our continued focus on the individual. Routinely moving on to around 20 different senior schools per year, Manor children are highly regarded and the strong relationships we have with senior schools enable us to know which school will best suit each pupil. Our focus throughout is on truly knowing the individual and what they need to grow and flourish, now and in the future, in and out of the classroom.

At the heart of our school sit the children, wrapped around by our core principles of Challenge, Cherish and Inspire. These underpin all we do and create a culture where values, things that really matter in life, are centric to our environment. Supporting their understanding of our Manor Values through the Kind Kangaroo, Respectful Rabbit, Persevering Parrot, Courageous Cub, Creative Chameleon and Unity Bee, even the youngest of the children knows what these important values mean and how we live them in our day-to-day lives. This provides an environment where children feel safe and valued, diversity is embraced and celebrated, and children have the space to be children. This involves an enormous amount of fun (who won’t remember the whole school running around in the sprinklers in their clothes on a hot summer’s day?!) coupled with aspiration and ambition, in a warm, magical environment. The way in which the school is structured and has been developed enables us to focus all of our time, resources and decision making on what truly matters: delivering exceptional learning and incredible experiences to our children. Our estate does not detract from this as it comprises predominantly purpose-built, high-quality teaching accommodation surrounded by the perfect amount of space to deliver a fantastic Manor education of the highest quality. The first class standard of this experience is routinely validated by various external bodies through inspections and awards won. However, our greatest validation comes from the response of our parents, those who experience day in, day out what being at The Manor really means. In our recent parental survey, an unprecedented number of families contributed, returning a Net Promoter Score of 68.5. This compares to a sector average of just 32.
