Welcome to our school

We are a truly individual co-educational independent school near Oxford, welcoming boys and girls aged 2 to 11 and challenging, cherishing and inspiring every child. Here at The Manor, we focus on offering boundless opportunities in a warm, friendly and safe setting so that our children are excited by their learning and inspired to excel. 

Our beautiful Georgian Manor House sits in the centre of a nine-acre site on the outskirts of historic Abingdon-on-Thames, within easy reach of the outstanding transport links offered by Oxford and Didcot.

Founded in 1907, the school has a long history but, far more important than that, we have a forward-thinking philosophy with the bright futures of our pupils at the heart of everything we do.

We are pleased to announce that we have joined with Abingdon School and Abingdon Prep School to form the Abingdon Schools Group, a family of highly successful, ambitious schools, bonded by their commitment to providing exceptional education, whilst rooted in their own history and individual identity.

We welcome new children into all year groups across the school, where we have space, and offer a flexible and accommodating admissions process designed to make life as straight-forward as possible for busy families. So whether you are interested in our Pre-Nursery or Nursery (ages 2-4 years), a Reception start, or a move into our prep school in Oxfordshire for Years 3 to 6. Since joining The Manor a year ago, in Year 3, our son’s academic performance has improved significantly and, with this, his confidence and self belief. Year 4 enjoyed a truly eye-opening and inspirational visit from two guest speakers from Thames Valley Air Ambulance, one of whom is a parent of a child in Year 4.

The children learnt about their important roles, the life-saving work they do, and the challenges they face every day.

The children also had the exciting opportunity to try on some of the uniform and practise CPR!

A huge thank you to our guest speakers for sharing their experiences and inspiring our pupils.
