12th February 2016
On Friday 12 February, 4S took part in Chandlings’ ‘Festival de Français’. Eleven other schools presented some short plays, songs and sketches in a lovely non-competitive celebration of the French language. Our girls performed three songs and their scene from ‘On va à Paris’ (which was part of our French Assembly in the Autumn Term). They sang beautifully and their French accent was ‘fantastique’! It was a very enjoyable morning and we all loved watching what the other schools performed: some of the highlights included a play about a vegetarian wolf (‘le loup végétarien’), the story of Sleeping beauty (‘La Belle au Bois Dormant’), songs about directions in town, holidays and sports, and an excerpt from The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (‘Le Bossu de Notre-Dame’). Congratulations to all our girls who did a brilliant job representing The Manor at this event.
