22nd April 2016
To mark the occasion of the Queen’s 90th Birthday, the whole school, parents and staff filled the playground for a street party. Tables were bedecked with all things red, white and blue, flags were waved and royal buns were consumed and a special Union Jack cake had been made for the parents.
Mr Heyworth opened the party with a toast and three cheers for Her Majesty, followed by Mrs Woodall leading the singing of the National Anthem. The sun shone down on a sea of children wearing red, white and blue, prince, princess, king and queen costumes and a variety of splendid royal headgear.
A party fit for a queen and the only thing missing was The Queen herself!
