Friday 19 May
We have safely arrived on the Isle of Wight after a very smooth journey. We had a picnic on the beach at Alum Bay in the sunshine with an excellent view of The Needles and then took the coach to Little Canada where we were greeted by our enthusiastic “groupies”. The children settled into their chalets and then had a tour of the site, followed by dinner in the canteen. This evening, the children are playing “wacky races”, having great fun running relay races as a chicken laying an egg with some dressing up thrown in! We are looking forward to a good night’s rest before an action-packed day of exciting activities tomorrow!
Saturday 20 May
We have enjoyed a full and fun-packed day of activities. The children have abseiled, trekked through the muddy sensory trail and discovered the mysteries of the Matrix amongst many other things. The weather has been kind to us and we have loved being out in the sunshine. We are so proud of the children, many of whom have faced their fears and risen to the challenge that many of the activities have presented, whether that be stepping off the abseiling tower or flying on the trapeze! They are finishing the day with an exciting “trip round the world” from the comfort of the PGL site! We’re looking forward to a good night’s sleep in preparation for more excitement tomorrow!
Sunday 21 May
We have had another brilliant adventure-packed day topped off with an evening of campfire songs on the beach. The children have excelled themselves yet again with their enthusiasm and determination. Highlights of the day have included: fencing, problem-solving, quad biking and the infamous Giant Swing! We are very much looking forward to our final two activities tomorrow before returning home with wonderful memories of the weekend.
