Mr Heyworth, our Headmaster of over 11 years is retiring at Christmas. To start his celebrations we organised a very special surprise day. All the children and staff arrived at The Manor in their golf attire, ready for a day of fun. Each class went out onto the school field in turn to play a round of golf with Mr Heyworth, picking up some golfing tips along the way. The school field had been transformed into 3 mini golf courses, complete with bunkers and water obstacles.

As a further surprise for Mr Heyworth, an ice cream van had been arranged and the children each enjoyed an ice-cream after their round of golf. At the end of their fun and busy day they were presented with a keepsake golf ball, complete with Mr Heyworth’s signature on to take home. Everyone had a great day and Mr Heyworth agreed it was an event he would never forget.
