Year 2 India Day

16th March 2018

Year 2 recently celebrated India Day.  We dressed in traditional Indian costumes, the colours of the Indian flag and we even had a few Indian tigers!

See the photos here

The children had a selection of Indian food to taste and the mango chutney and poppadums were very popular. We learnt about Bollywood dancing and created our own dance routines.

We had a drama event acting out the Indian Tale “The Blue Jackal”.  We created some Indian art using mendhi patterns and brightly coloured paints to celebrate the festival of Holi.
