Chinese New Year

7th February 2019

This week, the children in Pre-Nursery have been very busy learning about Chinese New Year.

See the photos here

The children made lucky envelopes to put chocolate coins in, counting as they went in… one… two…three. They played with noodles, had a go at using chopsticks, then practised tracing Chinese characters.

The children also had the opportunity to explore red and black themed sensory play, made paper plate pigs (as it’s the Year of the Pig!) and tried on some traditional Chinese clothes. To finish off, the children and teachers read stories together about Chinese New Year.
