River Studies at the River Pang

8th October 2019

Upon arrival at Rushall Farm, the girls excitedly donned their waders and climbed aboard a tractor, ready to be transported down to the riverside.

Once in the river they worked tirelessly as a team, measuring the width, depth and flow rate of the river. A little later on they visited another site of the river, this time a beautiful meander, where they were really able to show off their knowledge of rivers, identifying how the meander was formed and the effect it has on the landscape around it.

There were, of course, a few soggy socks by the end of the day, but this certainly did not dampen (!) their spirits in the slightest!
