U11 Girls County Hockey Winners!

U11 County Hockey Winners

The children had a great afternoon of hockey at this year’s U11 Girls’ County Tournament, up at a very chilly Tudor Hall!

They started off with a very tight 1-0 win against Headington in their first game. They then slipped up in the first few moments of their game against Carrdus and despite creating a number of goal scoring opportunities, the game finished with a 1-0 loss. Going into the last game, all schools were still in contention to qualify for the Regional competition, so the girls picked themselves up and went on to finish with a great display of hockey in a 4-1 win against Chandings. This last win upped our goal difference and with other scores also going our way, The Manor were crowned U11 Girls Oxfordshire County Hockey Champions!

Well done to all the children involved! They have come an incredibly long way this season and we look forward to the next round.

School Closed

In line with Government advice and in conjunction with schools up and down the country, we are very sorry that until further notice, The Manor Preparatory School is closed, although we are operating a skeleton staff at this time for children of our Key Worker families.
