Manor Maths Week 2023 started off with a fabulous visit from Tony the Math Magician.
The children (and staff!) from across the school enjoyed a brilliant ‘Magical Maths’ assembly followed by workshops and shows throughout the day. Tony taught us some clever calculation
tricks to take home and wow our families with, as well as performing amazing mathematical magic illusions for us to marvel at!
We have also enjoyed taking part in lots of Maths challenges and puzzles this week. The children had the opportunity to work with different classes to solve problems both within our classrooms and around the school. Prep children discovered the challenge of estimation whilst Pre-Prep investigated pattern, time, money and even some musical Maths!
Friday brought our Maths Week to a close with a colourful array of mathematical dress up and another opportunity to celebrate the Maths all around us in patterns, numbers, shapes and colours.
