1st December 2015
Please could you take a quick look at the below story. An abridged version is going on the front of Manor Messages.
The festive season has got off to a fantastic start when 45 members of Middle School Choir boarded a coach to Oxford Beaumont Care Community on Boars Hill to sing Christmas Carols.
The choir performed in the home’s lovely dining room to the residents who had come to listen. The choir started by singing some songs on their own (good practice for the Carol Service!) followed by a few festive favourites for the residents to join in with, including Away in a Manger and We wish you a Merry Christmas.
Afterwards the choir were treated to a feast of sandwiches, cupcakes and juice and some of the girls were able to chat with the residents, which they really enjoyed. As the children were about to leave the residents gave each of them a very special present – a chocolate advent calendar each to take home!
Middle School Choir and their teachers were treated like royalty for the afternoon and were made to feel very welcome – a special start to the Christmas season!
