During the last week of term, we were treated to a very special assembly. We were joined by Keith Hanson, the Chief Exhibitor at HM Tower of London and a former Yeoman Warder (Beefeater).
Mr Hanson gave a very interesting and educational talk to the children about the Crown Jewels, their history, the monarchy and what it is like to live and work at the Tower of London for The Queen.
It was a very special visit for two pupils, Josie and Frankie, as Mr Hanson is their Grandfather and he joined them in their classrooms for a few more questions from the children including;
Have you ever met The Queen?
How much are the Crown Jewels worth?
What are The Queen’s dogs called?
How do you keep the Ravens at The Tower?
And most importantly, What does The Queen like to eat? For those wondering, she likes fish!
It was a truly special visit which was thoroughly enjoyed by both staff and children alike.
