Wednesday 19 September was an exciting day for all at The Manor when we were joined by TV chef and restaurateur, James Tanner.

The day started with a very exciting treat, ‘Ready Steady Cook’ was performed live in assembly starring Mr Thomas & Mrs Shaw (Team Stir-fry) against Mr Jackson and Mrs Parkinson (Team Carbonara). Well done to the winners, Team Stir-fry.
James then spent time with the children from Reception up to Year 6 talking to them about the different types of fish and seafood we can eat and how to maintain fish stocks for future generations. He also was on hand at lunch, serving up special fish goujons to the children alongside The Manor’s Catering Team.
The day was finished with James joining Mrs Duff’s Cookery Club where they cooked cheese and rosemary scones, sticky glazed sausages, sausage rolls with a puff pastry twist and a tarte tatin with cream. Thank you to James for spending the day with us and to our caterers, Sodexo for arranging the visit – it was a fabulous day of food based fun!
